Celestial Souls: The Story Profiles Galleries Site
Layout One - "Sailor Selene"

This was the first layout ever, and as you can see, it is very simple. Ridiculously simple, in fact. It was also rather plain due to the fact that it was composed entirely of purple and white. Now don't get me wrong, purple and white are very nice colours, but after a while they start to look bland.

I'll admit to making this layout quickly. I was obviously really eager to get the site up at the time and so just threw this together. I'll admit, I kept telling myself that it was only temporary, that I would replace it with a better, more purple-y layout later instead of this...but it was up for ten months, nearly a year, so that's not really temporary. But for all the flaws I later found with it, I'll admit to liking this design at the start.

Layout Two - "Demeter, Selene, and Tethys"

This one was better than the last one, I think that goes without saying. It was also very, very green. Green isn't a colour I use a lot when designing, but I think it turned out rather nice. There were some flaws with, it, the key one being that it didn't really look like it was supposed to until the page was long enough that it required a scrollbar. (You can see what I mean in the screenshot; the bottom edge is supposed to be right against the bottom of the page). This should be an incentive to learn CSS, as CSS can do many more things than tables.
Layout Three - "Serena"

I really liked this layout. It was simple but effective, if a little more graphics-heavy than usual. Another cool colour, obviously; I like the colour blue, so I didn't particularly mind. But again, there was one flaw; my host's ad banner prevented the top from reaching the top of the screen. (In hindsight, I should have taken that into account). That aside...well, it's a nice layout. There's not much else to it.
